Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the I-Bike+ mobile application (the "App", package name com.aptdevelop.ibike_max), operated by APT (Tianjin) Development Co., Ltd. (the "Developer"), accesses, collects, uses, and shares user information.

The App is a cycling companion application that connects to compatible Bluetooth cycling devices, records ride activity, and provides turn-by-turn navigation. The App does not require user registration or login.

Information We Access and How It Is Used

The App primarily processes information locally on your device. The only information transmitted outside your device is described in this section.

1. Location Information

• Accessed: Precise and approximate device location (latitude and longitude), including background location while navigation is active.
• Used for: Determining your current position, providing turn-by-turn route guidance, displaying navigation instructions, and updating route progress during navigation.
• Local use: Location data is used on-device for navigation and for recording ride routes. Ride records (including route paths) are stored locally on your device.
• Shared with a third party: To provide weather information during navigation, the App sends your current device location (latitude and longitude) to the OpenWeatherMap weather service (https://openweathermap.org) in order to retrieve local weather data. The location data sent to OpenWeatherMap is used only to obtain weather information for your current location and is processed by OpenWeatherMap in accordance with its own privacy practices.
• Map services: The App uses Google Maps SDK and Google Places SDK to display maps, search for locations, and provide navigation. These services may receive device location and search queries in order to render maps and return results, and are processed by Google in accordance with Google's privacy policies.

2. Bluetooth and Connected Device Information

• Accessed: Bluetooth connection status, paired device information, and activity/sensor data read from connected compatible cycling devices.
• Used for: Discovering compatible Bluetooth devices, pairing, communicating with connected devices, reading device information (e.g. firmware version, battery level) and activity data, and providing the App's core cycling functionality.
• Sharing: Bluetooth device information and sensor data are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted to the Developer or any third party.

3. Ride Records and App Preferences

• Accessed/Stored: Ride activity data (route, distance, duration, speed, etc.), connected Bluetooth device information, navigation data, and application preferences.
• Storage location: Locally on your device only.
• Sharing: The App does not upload or synchronize this information to the Developer's servers or any external server.

4. WebView (Developer Website)

• The App provides an in-app WebView that loads the Developer's public website (https://www.aptdevelop.com). When you visit that page, your interaction with the website is governed by the website's own practices.

5. Information We Do Not Collect

• The App does not require user registration or login, and does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other account information.
• The App does not collect device identifiers for advertising, analytics, or tracking purposes.
• The App does not display advertising.
• The App does not sell, rent, or barter user information.

Permissions Used by the App

Third-Party Services

The App interacts with the following third-party services. Each service processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy:

• Google Maps SDK / Google Places SDK (https://policies.google.com/privacy) — map display, place search, and navigation. May receive device location and search queries.
• OpenWeatherMap (https://openweathermap.org/privacy-policy) — weather information. Receives the device's current location (latitude and longitude) to retrieve local weather.

These services are used only to provide the App's functionality and are not used for advertising or tracking.

Data Storage and Security

Ride records, Bluetooth device information, navigation data, and application preferences are stored locally on your device. Because the App does not operate its own servers to store user data, your locally stored information remains under your control. You can clear this data at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it.

Data Sharing

The App does not sell, rent, or barter user information. The only information transmitted outside your device is described in the "Information We Access and How It Is Used" section above (location sent to OpenWeatherMap for weather, and interactions with Google Maps/Places services and the developer website).

Children's Privacy

The App is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

Your Rights

Because the App stores information locally on your device and does not maintain user accounts, you can review, modify, or delete your information at any time through the App's settings or by clearing/uninstalling the App.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date and become effective immediately upon posting.
